The Soviet/Russian vehicle collection list has been updated. Primary changes include the correction of vehicle dates. Addition of several key facts about vehicle implementation. Addition of T-62M with T2A2 image.

A new Blog segment will appear soon on the main page feed. Occasional posts featuring interesting date milestones in the Soviet/Russian vehicle timeline. These timelines range from service dates to trial dates and onwards.

A new sight for the modernized T-90

  Back in 2018, a new programme was started. This programme's focus is to create domestic equipment for Russian armoured vehicles, specifically optics. This is so that the Russian army can stop depending on the french company "Thales" and their Catherine technology. T-72B3 received new internal components for the Sosna-U sight, phasing out any foreign components. As for the T-90M/T-90MS, something else was done. Previously, the T-90M/T-90MS employed the Sosna-U sight, which featured french components from Thales. However, the internals of the sight was not simply replaced. This time, a completely new domestic sight was created under the name PNM-T. The sight was reportedly made by the PJSC ANPP TEMP-AVIA in 2018 or 2019. A BMP-2M upgrade worth upgrading more.

 The BMP-2M had many variants, ranging from BMP-2M with Combat Module B05YA01 "Berezhok" to BMP-2M with Combat Module "Bakcha-U" to more uncommon variants that never saw the light of being accepted into the Russian Armed Forces. BMP-2M with L-shaped support arm and additional armour protection on the sides One of the more unknown variants was the BMP-2M with an automatic grenade launcher. The firing capabilities were enhanced by installing a different weapon system. A 30mm AG-17 automatic grenade launcher is mounted in the turret rear on an L-shaped support arm with a vertical elevation mechanism. The AG-17 had the option to be controlled by 2 crew members. The gunner had the ability to aim the weapon system through his primary sight which was also linked to the main 30mm 2A42 gun. T-72B3 Obr.2016 equipped with Arena-M APS

The T-72B3 underwent many different upgrade programs over the years since its first appearance in 2011. This includes the usage of different engines, a variety of different ERA packages like Relikt and Kontakt-5, utilization of soft bag ERA, slat armour encasing the engine bay, mounting of CITV on a small batch of T-72B3 tanks in 2014 for Tank Biathlon. These upgrades being the most common, overshadow one specific variant of the T-72B3.  T-72B3 equipped with Arena-M (T09-A6). This variant was first shown in 2013 during the RAE expo in Lower Tagil, Russia. While only being a mockup, it gave a good idea of how the vehicle will look, if it ever mounts such a system.
