May 9th Parade update

Image
PLEASE IGNORE THE LATEST POST COVERING THE PARADE STRUCTURE.  RedStar magazine has posted the full parade structure. This practically renders the latest post useless, please disregard it. If you are interested in the full parade structure I will include an image.  Even with the newly updated list, several main vehicles still need to be included: T-80BVM, TOS-1A, Pantsir-S1s and others.  Taken from: RedStar

BMP-3 with ERA-attachment brackets sighted at the May 9th Parade rehearsal

Image
Newly fitted BMP-3s with ERA-mounting brackets have appeared at the rehearsal in Moscow in preparation for the 9th of May parade. It is worth noting that these vehicles have been sighted last year in June-July-August at the "Kurganmashzavod", and are utilizing a similar ERA-bracket layout as the BMP-3M with ERA that was shown in the early 2000s.   Sadly there are no images of these new BMP-3s utilizing ERA. Maybe as time goes on, NII Stali and Kurganmashzavod will reveal it.   Taken from: Kein Mensch Kein Tier Twitter ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Discord   ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Russian 9th of May parade structure

Image
As with any 9th of May parade, the RF MoD releases a planned structure in which the parade will take place. Over time the structure stays relatively the same, showing historically important vehicles first like the T-34-85 or Su-100 and then showcasing modern combat vehicles. Progressively the parade became more structured and cleaner.  As of this year, the rehearsal structure became much simpler, but the variety of showcased vehicles has drastically decreased. Compared to previous years, the 2022 parade lacks Russia's most prised vehicle the T-14, alongside the T-90M and T-80BVM are missing.  This change could have been done to mix up the presented vehicles or the situation is far more complex and certain AFVs were pulled out for "modernization" or "repairs". Still, a weird move to remove several 'highlights' of the parade. Taken from: NTV --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TMT-K mine trawl

Image
The TMT-K engineering tank minesweeper was designed by 'Stankomash' and is intended for reconnaissance, making a passage in anti-tank minefields and continuous demining of the terrain. A TMT-K can be mounted on a large variety of AFVs: T-72, T-80, T-90, BMR-3M armoured mine clearance vehicles and vehicles based on the BRM-3 chassis. This trawl consists of a roller array with pressure action and soil cutters, a device for trawling anti-side mines and an electromagnetic module. The trawl also includes electrical equipment, a pneumatic system, a pyro signal cassette and a single spare parts kit. The TMT-K mine trawl provides trawling capabilities against most anti-tank mines: anti-burr mines, anti-bottom mines with contact and non-contact magnetic fuses, anti-slide mines with non-contact seismic-optical fuses, as well as the destruction of wired control lines for mine explosions, land mines and triggering remote installation mines installed on the ground surface. Shvabe develops cooperation with Chinese partners in the field of laser technologies

The laser centre of "Shvabe" is interested in the supply of equipment and components, but also in acquiring production partners in the face of Chinese enterprises, said Evgeny Kuznetsov, CEO of the Stelmakh Polyus Research Institute, at the Russian-Chinese Industrial Business Forum. "Our institute is the founder of the laser industry of the USSR and has made a significant contribution to the formation of a similar industry in China, with which it has long-standing scientific and industrial ties," Kuznetsov said, quoted in a statement by the press service of the Shvabe holding. He noted that for more than half a century, the company has managed to preserve and multiply advanced achievements and scientific schools, but also to firmly consolidate the title of a world-class leader and the leading laser centre in Russia in its field of activity.
