KamAZ-43269 (4x4) armoured vehicle with top mounted weapon systems

The KamAZ-43269 armoured escort vehicle is intended for transporting military personnel and various types of cargo, tow trailers on all types of roads and terrain, carry heavy firearms and light artillery weapons. 

The vehicle features: 

  • A metal monocoque with rear single-wing doors, two side escape hatches, two sliding roof hatches for the driver and vehicle commander, two flap hatches for troops in the rear compartment and two armoured glass panels in the front for the driver and commander. 
  • Two seats for the driver and vehicle commander. 
  • Places for installing different specialized equipment such as radio communication devices. 
The vehicle offers a wide range of weapon systems that can be requested by clients. 
  • VMK CM with a 12,7mm "Kord" 
  • BM2 CM with a 30mm 2A42 autocannon paired with a 7.62mm PKTM or AG-17
  • BM30 CM with a 30mm 2A42 autocannon paired with a 7.62mm PKTM or AG-17
The list of different weapon combinations is expandable if a certain weapon system can be fitted onto the provided turret ring dimensions and can be coupled with the fighting compartment. 

In addition to the mentioned combat modules, the KamAZ-43269 can be equipped with a "Strela-10M" MANPADS system.

This post expands on a previously covered topic, being the BMP-3 with ERA . Potentially sealing this topic until later when more information comes to light.  ERA package components:  ERA containers filled with 4S24 ERA elements, containers are mounted on the front and both sides of the hull. Slat armour mounted on the rear of the vehicle protects the engine compartment. Overall package performance:  Protection against AT rocket-propelled grenades (RPG) PG-7V, PG-7VS, PG-7VL, PG-7VM, PG-9S and other types of grenades capable of penetrating up to 600mm RHA within a 180 ° fire arc.  In areas covered by ERA containers, the probability of protection is at least 80%.  In areas covered by slat armour, the probability of protection is at least 50%.
