Uralvagonzavod has started production of a pilot batch of a new self-propelled artillery gun (SPG) 2S43 "Malva".

Uralvagonzavod Research and Production Concern specialists are working on the creation of the first experimental batch of the newest self-propelled artillery guns "Malva".

"The prototype has been finalized and submitted to the Ministry of Defence to undergo state trials, the planned completion date is scheduled for the end of 2022. Simultaneously with the tests, the production of a pilot batch of new SPGs was started. The gun confirmed its effectiveness and compliance with the requirements of the tactical and technical task in 2021 as part of tests under the chief designer's program".

Engineers of the Nizhny Novgorod Central Research Institute "Burevestnik" were engaged in the creation of a new self-propelled gun as part of the experimental design work "Nabrosok".
