Army-2022 contracts

It has been confirmed that 26 new government contracts have been signed and 7 awarded during the "Army-2022" expo. The total sum of 36 contracts exceeds 552 billion Rubbles (9.2 billion euros or 9.3 billion Dollars as of the 20th of August). 

There is a large variety of contracts ranging from air, ground, and navy-related contracts.

  • Contract for a batch of new RS-28 "Sarmat" intercontinental ballistic missiles has been signed with Academician V.P. Makeev State Missile Center JSC.
  • Contract for the supply of BTR-82A armoured personnel carriers was awarded to LLC "Military Industrial Company.
  • Contract for the supply of Tiger-M armoured vehicles was awarded to LLC "Military Industrial Company".
  • LLC "Armory Workshops" - awarded a contract for the supply of "Tiger-M" armoured vehicles with a remote-controlled combat module "Arbalet".
  • Contract for the supply of supersonic anti-ship missiles "Onyx" was awarded to JSC "Military Industrial Corporation "Scientific and Production Association of Mechanical Engineering" (the contract is designed for a year and includes the supply of several dozen missiles).
  • Contract for the supply of "Inokhodets" unmanned aerial vehicles has been signed with Kronstadt JSC.
  • Contract signed with LLC "Special Technology Center" for the supply of  "Orlan–10" and "Orlan-30" UAVs.
  • Contract signed with ENIX CJSC for the supply of "Aileron-3" UAVs.
  • JSC "United Shipbuilding Corporation" - contract for constructing three Project 06363 diesel-electric submarines. 
  • Contract for the supply of T-90M tanks was awarded to JSC Uralvagonzavod Scientific and Production Corporation named after F. E. Dzerzhinsky.
  • JSC "Uralvagonzavod Scientific and Production Corporation named after F. E. Dzerzhinsky" was awarded a contract for major repairs and modernization of T-80BV tanks. 
  • JSC "103rd Armored Repair Plant" - awarded a contract for major repairs with the modernization of BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles.
  • JSC "Scientific and Production Association "Splav" named after A.N. Ganichev" - signed a contract for the supply of 300-mm rockets "Splav" for the multiple launch rocket system "Tornado-S"
  • Contract signed with the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Central Research Institute of Chemistry and Mechanics" for the supply of UAB-20 guided bombs.
  • Contract for the supply of air-to-surface aircraft missiles was awarded to Tactical Missile Armament Corporation JSC.
  • Contract for the supply of anti-radar aircraft missiles was awarded to Tactical Missile Armament Corporation JSC.
  • JSC "Smolensk Aviation Plant" - awarded a contract for the supply of aircraft anti-ship missiles.
  • Contract was signed with Almaz-Antey Aerospace Defense Concern JSC for the supply of S-500 anti-aircraft missile systems.
  • Contract was awarded with Almaz-Antey Aerospace Defense Concern JSC for the supply of a promising automated aviation and air defence control system based on a number of unified complexes of automation tools for interspecific use Perspektiva-ACS.
  • Contract for the supply of 9M317M anti-aircraft guided missiles for Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile systems was signed with JSC Dolgoprudnenskoye Research and Production Enterprise
  • Contract for the supply of missiles for the Iskander-M missile complex was signed with JSC "Scientific and Production Corporation "Design Bureau of Mechanical Engineering"
  • JSC "Arsenal Machine-Building Plant" - signed a contract for the supply of reconnaissance satellites "Lotos-M"
  • Contract for the manufacture of long-range air-based cruise missiles was awarded to A.Ya. Bereznyak State Machine-Building Design Bureau Raduga JSC.
  • JSC "Zelenodolsk Plant named after A.M. Gorky" - a contract was awarded for the construction of two 03182P Project reconnaissance ships.
  • Contract for the supply of Su-34 front-line bombers has been signed with JSC United Aircraft Corporation.
  • Contract for the supply of Ka–52M combat helicopters has been signed with Russian Helicopters JSC.
  • Contract for the supply of Mi–28NM combat helicopters has been signed with Russian Helicopters JSC.
  • Contract was signed with the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "State Research Institute of Organic Chemistry and Technology" for the "execution of experimental design work "Development of a mobile complex for the destruction of toxic chemicals and special products in their equipment" under the code "Innovator-1".

When covering Soviet sight technology there are always some interesting designs and approaches to solving an issue. It is a common fact that the Soviet Union in the 1980s-1990s was quite behind in thermal sight technology. Only in the 1990s, but to be specific in 1992, the Soviet Union now Russia started to field small batches of thermal sights on their tanks, primarily T-80Us and some of the early T-90 variants, which just recently entered service. GTD-1000 - GTD-1000TF - GTD-1250 Gas Turbine Engines

The world's first mass-produced tank gas turbine engine GTD-1000T was created at the Klimov Plant in 1968 for the T-80 main battle tank developed By the special tank design Bureau of the Kirov plant (now JSC "Spetsmash"), which was adopted by the Soviet Army in 1976. Since 1980, a modification of the GTD‑1000TF for T-80B/BV tanks was produced, since 1986 a modification of the GTD-1250 for T-80U tanks.  GTD-1250 Engines of the GTD-1250 family as part of the power plants of T-80 tanks are in service with the armies of Russia, Belarus, Cyprus, South Korea, Kazakhstan. A new sight for the modernized T-90

  Back in 2018, a new programme was started. This programme's focus is to create domestic equipment for Russian armoured vehicles, specifically optics. This is so that the Russian army can stop depending on the french company "Thales" and their Catherine technology. T-72B3 received new internal components for the Sosna-U sight, phasing out any foreign components. As for the T-90M/T-90MS, something else was done. Previously, the T-90M/T-90MS employed the Sosna-U sight, which featured french components from Thales. However, the internals of the sight was not simply replaced. This time, a completely new domestic sight was created under the name PNM-T. The sight was reportedly made by the PJSC ANPP TEMP-AVIA in 2018 or 2019.
