'Rostec' to complete testing of self-propelled guns for paratroopers in 2022

Rostec announced the completion of preliminary tests of the Lotos SPG for the Airborne Forces in 2022

Preliminary tests of the airborne self-propelled artillery gun 2S42 "Lotus", which is being developed for Airborne troops, will be completed in 2022. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the Rostec State Corporation.

"Preliminary tests of the first 120mm "Lotus" will be completed this year. The date of the state tests will be determined by the Russian Ministry of Defense," Rostec reported.

The machine, which was developed by specialists of the Central Research Institute of Precision Engineering (TSNIITOCHMASH), will replace the artillery and mortar installations "Nona-S" within the troop regiments
