FSMTC: Russia has offered India to develop a new tank based on the Armata platform

 Russia has offered India to develop a new Indian main battle tank based on the universal Armata platform, spokeswoman for the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) of Russia Valeria Reshetnikova said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

"During the recent Russian-Indian intergovernmental commission on military and military-technical cooperation and the Russian-Indian summit, Indian partners were offered new areas of work, including the creation of armoured vehicles based on the Armata platform according to the customer's specifications, especially considering that the Indian military plans to launch work on the creation of a new main battle tank," Reshetnikova said.
