Russian product showcase during IDEX-2021

At the largest International military-Technical salon IDEX 2021, which will be held in Abu Dhabi from February 21 to 25, Russia will present the latest models of weapons that have recently received an export permit.

For the first time in this region, an infantry fighting vehicle based on a unified wheeled platform "Boomerang" will be presented. As well as the long-range anti-aircraft missile system "Antey-4000" and the latest medium-range anti-aircraft missile system "Viking".

"Viking " an export version of the "Buk-M3" complex, recently entered service with the Russian Army. Compared to the well-known Buk-M2 complex, its firing range increased by one and a half times, reaching 65 kilometres. In addition, the number of simultaneously fired at targets increased by one and a half times - 6 for each self-propelled gun and the number of anti-aircraft guided missiles ready to launch in a firing position of two combat units increased from 8 to 18.

"Viking" was developed and created taking into account the trends of the world market. Its technical features make it possible to adapt the complex as much as possible to the priorities of Rosoboronexport's foreign customers. Experts note that this complex has received a number of unique features that were not previously available in any air defence system. For example, the combat control point of the Viking has the ability to interface not only with a standard radar station but also with other radars, including those not made in Russia. In addition, the SAM provides for the possibility of autonomous use of fire units and even individual self-propelled fire installations, which increases the total area defended and the number of covered objects, and also minimizes the cost of organizing an air defence system.

For the first time, a public presentation of the T-14 Armata tank will be held abroad. However, it will be presented in the form of a mockup, as well as in a multimedia format.

A lot of new products will be shown in the small arms segment. In addition to the first foreign displaying AK-19 will be a presentation Kovrov machine gun "KORD", which on a number of parameters exceeds the famous AK series.

Now there are two versions of the "Kord" - A-545 and A-762. Respectively, the calibre of 5.45 mm and 7.62 mm.

An interesting exposition from the designer Vladislav Lobaev. And the names are sonorous - DVL-10M1 "Saboteur", TSVL-8 "Stalingrad", DXL-3 "Retribution" and DXL-4 "Sevastopol".

At the Rosoboronexport stand, models of the Su-35 multi-purpose super-manoeuvrable fighter and the Mi-38T transport and landing helicopter will be presented, which can significantly increase the combat potential of the aviation group of any country in the Middle East and North Africa. In the form of models, the S-400 Triumph and Tor-M2KM air defence systems, popular in the Middle East market, as well as the "Kupol-PRO" anti-drone systems, will be displayed.

In the naval part of the exhibition, the Ak Bars Shipbuilding Corporation will present models of the patrol ship project 22160 and the small missile ship project 22800E Karakurt-E.

It is stated that during IDEX 2021, Rosoboronexport will hold meetings and negotiations with representatives of the military-political leadership and the business community of the Middle East and North Africa.

Sergey Chemezov, General Director of Rostec State Corporation, which includes most of the domestic participants of the exhibition in Abu Dhabi, said:

"The Middle East and North Africa are among the key customers in the arms market today. The region accounts for about 1/3 of the total market volume. Weapons with the brand "Made in Russia" are well known here and are in high demand. It has proven itself to be the best in difficult climatic conditions - at sea, on land and in the air. Given all of the above, the region is very important for us. By the end of 2020, the countries of the region accounted for more than 50 % of all exports through Rosoboronexport. In 2021, these positive trends will continue."
