First stage of trial operation of the "Terminator" BMPT is completed

The first stage of the experiment on the use of a tank support combat vehicle (BMPT) "Terminator" ended at the training ground of the Guards Tank Division of the Central Military District (CVO) in the Chelyabinsk Region.

It is noted that during the trial application, which started in December last year, the crews conducted a series of driving lessons, firepower and technical training. The main efforts were aimed at studying the features of the controls and the weapons system of the BMPT.

The second stage of the experiment to master the BMPT will be its use in the battle formations of tank subunits with firing in various tactical situations.

A batch of eight BMPT "Terminator" was delivered to the Ural tank division in December 2020 for trial operation and development by military personnel.

It was also reported that a batch of several support combat vehicles for Terminator tanks and T-90 Proryv tanks will enter the Guards Tank Army of the Western Military District (ZVO) in 2021.

Slat armour mounted on the rear of the vehicle protects the engine compartment.
