2S39 "Magnolia" - 120-mm self-propelled artillery gun
The Magnolia self-propelled artillery gun on the chassis of an armored two-link tracked carrier DT-10PM is being developed by the Central Research Institute Burevestnik on the instructions of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the RF Ministry of Defense for units and subunits deployed in the Far North as part of the Sketch development work.
The complex uses a modernized fighting compartment of the 120-mm self-propelled gun 2S31 "Vienna" as an artillery unit. The chassis of the two-link tracked armored transporter DT-10MP is manufactured by Vityaz Machine-Building Company JSC, it is also part of Uralvagonzavod.
The main weapon of the combat vehicle is the 2A80 universal gun, which combines the fighting qualities of a cannon, a howitzer, and a mortar. The design of the mechanized turret provides circular horizontal guidance and barrel lift from -5° to + 80°.
The two-link tracked conveyor DT-10PM in running order weighs 23.5 tons, its carrying capacity is 10 tons. Diesel engine V-46-5S with a capacity of 710 hp, allows a maximum speed of 44 km/h. Floating speed - up to 5 km/h. The operating range is 700km.
The firing range of high-explosive fragmentation shells can reach 8.5 km. It is also possible to use high-explosive fragmentation mines, they can destroy enemies at a distance of 7 km and guided projectiles at a distance of up to 10 km. The maximum rate of fire reaches 10 rounds per minute. The ammunition carried by the SPG system includes 80 rounds. The crew consists of four servicemen.
