Serial deliveries of the main battle tanks T-14 "Armata" to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation will begin in 2022. This was announced to journalists at the international arms exhibition IDEX-2021 by the General Director-Chief Designer of the Ural Design Bureau of Transport Engineering (UKBTM, part of the Uralvagonzavod Concern (UVZ) of the Rostec State Corporation") Andrey Terlikov.

"From 2022, we will reach a steady serial supply of these machines," Terlikov said.

According to him, UVZ has already signed serial supply contracts with the Russian Defense Ministry. "The state tests of "Armata" are underway, we expect their completion within the next year or two. By the end of 2021, one of the contracts is planned to deliver an installation batch of machines, " Terlikov said.

"The installation batch of the T-14 Armata main battle tanks will be equipped with the latest ammunition. "Rosatom enterprises - the scientific elite-are engaged in the development of new ammunition for Armata, and a serious resource has been attracted. It is synchronized with the development of the tank, during the state tests we docked and coordinated it. The installation batch of "Armata" will go with this ammunition, " Terlikov said.
