BMPT arrival in the Russian Armed Forces
Developed by the design engineers of the Ural Design Bureau of Transport Engineering of the Uralvagonzavod concern, the tank support combat vehicle can be successfully used in resolving conflicts of any tension to defeat anti-tank weapons and effectively suppress enemy manpower. It can easily remove everything from the path: from grenade launchers and lightly armoured vehicles to tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and armoured personnel carriers. The combination in one vehicle of powerful multichannel weapons with a large ammunition load - perfect means of search and detection of targets, all-aspect protection provides the BMPT with a significant military-technical superiority over the BMP. In terms of its combat effectiveness, one BMPT will replace two BMPs and a motorized rifle platoon.
The high mobility and manoeuvrability of the tank support combat vehicle are provided by - a V-92S2 diesel multi-fuel supercharged engine with a capacity of 1000 hp. manufactured by the ChTZ-Uraltrak company of the Uralvagonzavod concern.
